A Rockin Birthday

Yesterday I finally managed to get crafting. And the agenda was to create a Birthday card for a very special friend. I started out with a a few die cut pieces of base card stock, Kraft and Purple and I decided to use this fun Hero Arts stamp, It was perfect for a girly card!

I did a bit of Copic colouring and cut this stamped image out. I used some Glossy Accents to add some dimension to the i-pod and ear phones. I then went about stamping my sentiment, I obviously used my go to set of letters by Hero Arts- Cute letters, perfectly sized for this kind of job! It's always more fun adding a custom sentiment:-) To add some extra zing, I went over the stamped letters with a glitter pen.

I finally put the card together using some dimensional adhesive and finished it off with some pink Hero Arts pearls and some faux stitching with a black pen. Viola!

Supplies:

Hello 2011 Hero Arts stamps!

Finally used my gorgeous Dictionary Greetings stamp set by Hero Arts... One of my faves from the 2011 catalog for sure! I used a plain Kraft 4x4 card and came up with this fun design:-) Super pleased how it turned out.
This was actually my second attempt. The dictionary stamp didn't leave an even impression on the first card I made, so I had to start over.. Never the less was worth the effort:-)

I masked out the cupcake and stamped the little party hat, and coloured it with Copics... Didn't spend too much time blending since I wanted it to keep it looking rustic.

The streamers were the last to stamp, I coloured them lightly with a green Copic and accented with my white gel pen. I also highlighted the window with some stitching and also added a few detailing on the cupcake and the party hat.
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
Hugs!
